Presentation Designer

Web Summit Vancouver - Meaning>Machines

Designed a keynote deck for Code and Theory's "Meaning Over Machines," introducing the Human Design Framework to help organizations define impactful human roles alongside AI. Created a clear, modern, and narrative-driven presentation to emphasize the value of human contributions in a tech-driven future.

About the Deck

The deck is centered on the concept that in the age of AI and technology, organizations should focus not just on technological advancements, but also on defining the human roles that add value and impact. A framework called the 'Human Design Framework' is introduced, emphasizing the importance of Imagination, Orchestration, and Judgement within an organization. The underlying message is that companies risk designing themselves out of relevance if they don't clearly define and leverage human contributions along with their technological investments.

Overview

The "Meaning Over Machines" keynote presented by Code and Theory CEO (Michael Treff) at Web summit Vancouver introduces the Human Design Framework, advocating for designing organizations where humans excel in Imagination, Orchestration, and Judgement alongside technological advancements.

Challenge

The challenge was to translate a complex and conceptual outline into a visually engaging, clear, and strategic deck that would resonate with leadership audiences while highlighting the urgency of defining human roles in a tech-driven future.

Approach

  • Narrative-Driven Design: Built a clear visual flow to communicate the Human Design Framework effectively.

  • Visual Clarity: Used clean typography, thoughtful hierarchy, and intentional white space to enhance readability.

  • Strategic Visuals: Incorporated modern graphics to represent Imagination, Orchestration, and Judgement, aligning with Code and Theory's brand aesthetic.

  • Future-Focused Aesthetic: Leveraged a sleek, modern design language that paired well with the conversation around AI and technology while centering the human element.

My Role

My role in this project involved transforming the provided outline into a visually engaging deck. I was responsible for creating a clear and compelling visual narrative that effectively communicated the core principles of the Human Design Framework, highlighting the strategic importance of preserving and enhancing human roles in synergy with AI and technological tools. My work ensured that the deck conveyed the necessity of intentional design in human roles to facilitate meaningful contributions and maintain a competitive advantage in today's tech-driven environment.
